When I started at Protacon in May 2013, I still had about 1.5 years of school left. I was just going to do the 6-month internship and then resume my studies as before. However, my project leader at the time assured me that continuing with the job while studying would be the best option.

If your project set-ups have been anything like the occasions when I had to set up a development environment, you had to install this and that, get an SVN checkout from there, get login credentials to this and that service or virtual machine, get product key from that person… and half a year later, you had to explain to someone how to get started with a similar environment and could not remember all of the steps.
